Fees
We charge a fixed fee, confirmed once we understand the size and complexity of the estate. Traditional professional executors often charge a percentage of the estate, an hourly rate, or both.

Our three promises
Agreement
We only act where the beneficiaries agree. Never a forced executorship: if another executor, or the beneficiaries together, ask us to step aside before we start, we will.
Fixed fees. Always.
We quote a fixed fee once we have a snapshot of the estate, and quote again before any extra work we find along the way.
Value for money
We use strict procurement when we instruct others, from vacant property insurance and estate agents to the solicitors who prepare probate papers.

Estate Admin Pro, for probate lawyers and accountants
Estate Admin Pro is our service for probate lawyers and chartered accountants. During busy periods we carry out the estate administration duties and return a pack of all the information you need to prepare the papers for the grant of probate.
Need help with distribution? As a trust corporation we can hold and distribute client funds.
We do not make the probate application, carry out conveyancing or take on other legal work, so we never compete with you for the client.
Common questions
How much does Digilegal Trustees charge?
A fixed fee, agreed before we start. Our Simple Executorship Service costs between £450 and £3,000, and our Full Executorship Service from about £450 for a small, straightforward estate to about £5,650 for a more valuable and complex one. Valuation and probate costs are paid by the estate on top. See executor fees for examples.
Do I pay anything when I name you in my will?
No. There are no pre-payments, and naming us is free to cancel: you can change your executor whenever you update your will.
What if my family would rather deal with the estate themselves?
We step aside. If another executor, or all the beneficiaries, would rather go ahead without us, we do so with no argument and no extra fees. If that happens at the outset, we charge the estate nothing. Read the Digilegal Trustees Promise.
How long does estate administration take?
It depends on the estate. Our terms say we aim to obtain the grant of probate within six months and to complete the administration within 12 to 18 months.
Who will deal with the estate?
Our team includes solicitors and chartered legal executives. Where a probate application needs to be prepared, we instruct solicitors and choose them for quality and value for money.
