Digilegal Solicitor Services

For your peace of mind, every will we make is checked over by one of our solicitors. If they find anything that could lead to confusion or dispute in future, we will get in touch to discuss and resolve the issue.

We are the only specialist provider of online wills to be given consent by the Solicitor’s Regulation Authority to provide the services of solicitors to the public.

High-street solicitors usually cost between £200-£350 for an hour’s consultation - a prohibitively high cost for most people. All users of our site can get in touch with any questions they have, before or after they purchase. Questions of a legal nature will be answered by one of our in-house solicitors.

Every line of every document we prepare has been drafted by a fully qualified solicitor or leading barrister in the area of wills & probate. We engage members of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners for advice and training. We check our documents and advice regularly to ensure we are ahead of emerging trends.

That's all to say, you are in safe hands with digilegal.

What's the difference between a "will writer" and a solicitor?

Anyone can call themselves a "will writer". A solicitor, on the other hand, is a professional legal practitioner who has passed the training and quality standards set by the Solicitor’s Regulation Authority (SRA).  Training typically consists of between four and six years of study followed by at least two years on-the-job training.

There is an ongoing requirement to maintain continuing competence in the ever evolving world of law. Further all solicitors must comply with the Solicitor’s Code of Conduct.

Who are the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA)

The SRA regulate the legal profession and protect the public accessing the services of solicitors. They draft and maintain the Code of Practice to ensure that every solicitor complies with the highest professional standards.  They also consult and research how to keep the profession at the cutting edge of emerging trends and technologies.

Digilegal Limited’s consent from the SRA

As part of our drive to improve the public’s access to legal services we were granted an Innovation Space Waiver from the SRA. This allows solicitors engaged by Digilegal to provide their services directly to the public.

We are the only specialist online provider of wills to receive this consent.  The process involved providing full disclosure of our business methods and practices to the SRA so that their board could consider the quality and any risk to the public.

To learn more about this or to consult any of our solicitors with a question of a legal nature you can get in touch with us by email or by phone.
